General guidelines for manuscript

Journal of the Korean Society of Radiology is the official publication of the Korean Society of Radiology.


1. About the Journal

Journal of the Korean Society of Radiology is an internationally refereed journal dedicated to publishing the latest advancements in radiology research. The goal of this journal is to record the latest findings and promote further research in these areas. Scholars from all relevant academic fields are invited to submit high-quality manuscripts that describe the latest, state-of-the-art research results or innovations.

4. Qualification as authors

The first author, Co-author and corresponding author should be a member of the Korean Society Radiology. If they are not members, they should apply to membership before submission. Please contact the society office to become a member.

Citations must be written only in English. Quoted in the text where the [ ] is displayed.
Quoted in the order of [ ] numbers in Arabic numerals in the price. Full list of references quoted in the text should be given at the end of the article.

6. Submission of manuscript

Manuscript should be sent to th following address with copyright transfer agreement, and author's checklist email only. Copyright transfer agreement should be signed by all co-authors, Files for accompanying letters can be downloaded from the homepage of the Society(http://www.radlab.org).

7. Publication interval and receipt of manuscript

The Journal is published monthly in January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December.
Manuscript can be received at any time. The manuscript that does not keep the instruction to authors may be rejected before review. Certificate of receipt of manuscript is issued to the corresponding author via email on request.


8. Reviewer

Reviewers Acknowledgement
Peer reviewers are key to advancing scholarship and contributing to the quality of scholarly journals. We would like to thank the following reviewers who have provided a technical review for at least one paper for this journal. Many of our reviewers contributed their expertise to more than one paper. We recognize the time commitment these
individuals have made in agreeing to review papers and appreciate the impact that their efforts have had on the published papers. Volunteers like these individuals are essential to assuring the journal published manuscripts of high quality and lasting value. Thank you to our dedicated reviewers for your contributions.


9. Review Policy

All papers submitted to our journals go through a rigorous review process. They are refereed by experts in said field before publication. There exist four possible outcomes for each paper submitted and reviewed: acceptance, acceptance after minor revision, major revision and re-submission, or rejection. This prevents the promulgation of pseudoscience and insures intellectual and scientific integrity of the findings published by J.korean.soc.radiol..
The Editor-in-Chief is the first to see an author's work. They are to forward the paper to experts in the specific field discussed in the paper for review. After review, the Editor-in-Chief of the journal will look over the reviewer's comments. If two reviewers seem to hold opposite opinions of the same paper, the controversy will be resolved by the Editor-in-Chief. Ultimately, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision. The final decision is being one of the aforementioned possibilities: acceptance, acceptance with noted changes, or rejection of paper.


10. Peer reviewed

Every manuscript received is circulated to three peer reviews. The author's name and affiliation not disclosed during review process to reviewers.
The review process can be repeated till three times if the request of revision is suggested by reviewers. If the re-review is repeated more than three times, it may not be considered for publication. If two reviewers do not agree to accept the journal, it may not be also considered for publication. Usually the first review process ends within one month.
Statistical Review: If there are any complicated statistical analyses in the manuscript, it may be reviewed by statistical editor.
Manuscript Editing: The finally accepted manuscript will be reviewed by manuscript editor for the consistency of references. The manuscript may be revised according to the opinion of the manuscript editor

12. Publication Ethics

The policies on the research and publication ethics are based on the research ethics regulation of http://www.radlab.org. For the policies on the research and ublication ethics not stated in this instructions, international standards for editors and authors (http://publicationethics.org/international-standards-editors-and-authors) can be applied.
Duplicate Publication: The papers already published to other scientific journals or periodicals are not considered for published. The published paper to this journal should not be submitted to other scientific journal.
Authorship: Authors who meet all of following conditions can be listed; 1) substantial contributions to conception and design, or acquisition of data, or analysis and interpretation of data; 2) Drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content; and 3) final Approval of the version to be published.
Conflict of interest Statement : If there are any conflicts of interest to individual author's commitments of project support, it should be clarified and described in the manuscript. J.korean.soc.radiol. are committed to maintaining high standards through a rigorous peer-review together with strict ethical policies. Any infringements of professional ethical codes, such as plagiarism, fraudulent use of data, should be taken very seriously by the editors with no tolerance. The submitted manuscript should be original, has not been formally published elsewhere and is not under consideration by any other journal or conference; and does not infringe any existing copyright or any other third party rights.


13. Fee for page charge

If the manuscript is accepted for publication, in one to six page of Korean Won 200,000. If manuscript is more then seven to nine page publication, in fee of korean Won 20,000 for per page. If manuscript is more then ten page publication, in fee of korean Won 30,000 for per page

14. Role of the Editorial Board

The decision on the editing of the journal is made by the editorial Board. The manuscript may be revised for the consistency of the editorial work as far as the content is not affected. Every manuscript submitted is not returned.

The copyright and transfer right of the digital content of the published paper and journal is owned by the Korean Society of Radiology.
